PCT

Harrow Primary Care Trust (PCT) was founded in April 2002 to improve health, commission services and develop primary care for the local population. The Trust is responsible for the services offered by community pharmacists, dentists, opticians and family doctors, and provides services such as health visiting and district nursing. Often referred to as “the local face of the NHS”, we work in partnership with other agencies and the public to improve the health of the local population and reduce health inequalities.

With more than 90 percent of patients starting and finishing their involvement with the NHS before they get to hospital, PCTs are the frontline of the NHS care.
